In 2026, Schagen will once again be brimming with traditions and music festivals. Below you'll find the most important events already on the agenda.
Easter cattle market 2026
Perhaps Schagen's most famous event is Easter Cattle! People come from far and wide to experience the festivities in Schagen. The immensely popular Easter Cattle is celebrating its 125th anniversary this year. It's an event for all ages, with a particularly rich history.

Spring Bock Beer Tour.
On Easter Sunday, the cozy Lentebier event will take place again (subject to change)! Several restaurants and cafes around the church and on the Loet in Schagen are joining forces to organize an atmospheric beer route.
Please note: there's no official announcement yet about the exact date, but you can assume it will take place on Easter Sunday. In previous years, the beer walk was also held on Easter Sunday. As soon as the organizers announce the final date and additional information, we'll share it immediately.

King's Day
On King's Day, April 27th, the Markt square in Schagen will once again be a festive place. There's plenty of entertainment for all ages, including various live performances on stage. Admission is free.
Liberation Festival
Schagen commemorates the liberation of the Netherlands with a festive atmosphere and various performances in the Market Square. Various artists will perform on the large stage on the north side of the church. The specific program will be announced soon!
Magnus Festival
Magnus Festival 2026 is a two-day music festival at the natural ice skating rink in Schagen on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 June with performances from afternoon until late evening.
Line-up (so far)Saturday (June 13) – Mainstage: Roxy Dekker, Russo, Milolaathetlukken, Roeland Beelen and Nordin.
Sunday (June 14) – Mainstage: Jan Smit, Simon Keizer and Sven Versteeg.
These are the first artists officially announced; the organizers will announce more names and times later.
The festival has amenities such as lockers, shelters and various ticket types (including day and weekend tickets and VIP options), and the minimum age is 16 years.
Fair
The Schagen fair (Netherlands) is coming back! From Friday, June 19th to Sunday, June 28th, 2026, you can enjoy over 30 attractions spread across the charming fairground in the charming town center. From classic favorites like the bumper car to spectacular acts like the Booster Maxxx, and of course, plenty of fun for the little ones, including the Jumbo and the family roller coaster.
Pop weekend
Popweekend Schagen 2026 will take place from Friday, July 31st to Sunday, August 2nd at the Markt in Schagen and is the largest free music event in North Holland. The festival is known for its varied program of live bands, regional talent, party acts, and DJs performing on multiple stages for a wide audience. Previous editions have featured artists like Milan Kirstein, Jada Borsato, Samuel Welten, De Feestploeg, and The Euros, alongside recognizable hits from the 80s and beyond. Besides the music, Popweekend offers a fun atmosphere for everyone, from young music lovers to families, with performances that bring the Markt to life.
Zandstock 2026
With festival season already in full swing, the Zandstock festival is also on the agenda for August. A festival in such a small village, isn't that something to be proud of? Absolutely! Especially at a festival as lively as 't Zand.

OUTmarket Schagen
At the start of the new cultural season, the UITmarkt in Schagen offers a platform for cultural associations and groups to present themselves to the public. A varied afternoon program featuring music, song, dance, and theater will be held on several stages in and around Cultuurhuis Markt18.

Electric Square
Schagen bids farewell to summer with the return of the Electric Square Festival. After a successful first edition, this free festival returns with a day full of rousing beats, impressive light shows, and top artists. The Markt square in Schagen will once again transform into a vibrant party area where music and energy collide. Dance the summer away at Electric Square Schagen 2026.

Flower Parade
The biggest spring festival consists of almost a week of activities, surrounded by the colorful and fragrant splendor of hyacinths, daffodils, and tulips from the Bulb Region. The absolute highlight is Parade Saturday, when the Flower Parade travels from Noordwijk to Haarlem. Discover the various events here and find all the practical information for your visit.
