Located near Julianadorp, this quiet, wide, and clean sandy beach features a naturist area (between markers 4.09 and 5). Visitors appreciate the free parking, the surrounding dunes, and its family-friendly appeal. The beach is easily accessible via a short walk but has limited amenities.

The beach at 'Strandslag Julianadorp' is the most popular beach in Julianadorp aan Zee. It boasts a stunning location, and the dunes are also beautiful. It's no wonder this beach has been voted the most beautiful beach in North Holland several times. During the summer, this beach is patrolled by the SSN Lifeguards of Den Helder.
On this beautiful sandy beach, you can enjoy a drink and a bite to eat at Beach Pavilion Paal6. This pavilion also has a restroom, including one for disabled guests.
Strandslag Zandloper
Strandslag Zandloper is the northernmost sandy beach in Julianadorp aan Zee. Formerly known as "Ship on the Beach," it's the ideal beach for children. This beautiful and peaceful family beach flies the Blue Flag. The Blue Flag isn't awarded for free. Strandslag Zandloper is a lifeguarded beach (in season), with a first aid station and a boat available for rescue operations. Kustbus 151 stops at this beach. This bus runs in the summer and departs from Den Helder. Kustbus 151 is completely free. How great is that?
On the beautiful sandy beach, you can enjoy a drink or a bite to eat at the beach pavilion "Zee van Tijd." There are also restrooms available, and there's even a beach wheelchair available for guests with disabilities. The pavilion is open year-round.
Strandslag Drooghe Weert
Drooghe Weert beach access is perfect for those who appreciate tranquility. This beach is located on the edge of a nature reserve and bird sanctuary. Wheatears breed here in the spring. You can easily walk or cycle there, straight through the dunes.

Callantsoog beach is a wide, clean, sandy beach with various facilities, located in the quiet seaside resort of Callantsoog. It is known for its peaceful atmosphere, even in peak season, and has been awarded the international Blue Flag for clean and safe beaches.
Strandslag Petten
The new sandy beach at Petten aan Zee is large, wide, long, and very attractive. The beach and dunes were created in 2016 to further enhance the coastline in this area. Before 2016, Petten had no beach at all. Petten's new beach is an impressive seven kilometers long, stretching all the way to Camperduin.
The beach is divided into three distinct zones, each with its own designated area. For example, there's a zone specifically for families and recreation, ideal for families with children. In the future, there will also be a zone specifically for beach huts. There's also a sports and boating zone.
Craving a delicious ice cream or a refreshing drink? Then visit Beach Pavilion "Zee en Zo"! Of course, you can also enjoy a delicious meal at this beautifully situated beach pavilion. The view from the terrace over the beach and the North Sea is fantastic.

Hargen aan Zee
Hargen aan Zee is a quiet, child-friendly seaside resort in the North Holland municipality of Bergen, located between Groet and Camperduin. While not a true village, it is known for its spacious, white beach, a large parking lot in the dunes, and the charming Strandpaviljoen Hargen.
The beach is very wide and often quieter than other well-known beaches in the region. It borders directly on the Schoorlse Duinen, ideal for walks.
There's ample parking, making it an easy destination by car. Parking is often free during the winter months (November-March). Hargen Beach Pavilion offers a terrace with a sea view, perfect for lunch, dinner, and drinks. The area is popular with families, kite flyers, and those seeking peace and quiet. Dogs are welcome on the beach all day during the late season (October 1 - May 1), but limited hours apply during peak season. The annual "Hargen Aan Sail" event takes place here in July. Nearby is the "Lagune," a unique coastal spot, and there are several walking routes through the dunes towards Schoorl.
Lutjestrand
Lutjestrand is a recreational area in Westerland on Lake Amstel in the Kop van Noord-Holland region. It is known as a popular location for water sports, families, and relaxation.
It's a popular spot for windsurfing, kitesurfing, and wing foiling thanks to the consistent wind and shallow water near the shore. There's a specialized surf school, Leerwindsurfen (Learn Windsurfing), located on-site.
There is a sandy beach with play equipment such as a water table and volleyball net, making it a suitable place for families with young children in 2026.
Het Hooge Oude Veer
The Hooge Oude Veer swimming area near Anna Paulowna in the municipality of Hollands Kroon is located on the Hooge Oude Veer, a primary waterway of the Hollands Noorderkwartier Water Board. The location is situated along the Lagedijk in Anna Paulowna. There is a lawn with a few picnic tables. The swimming area has a maximum depth of 1.50 m and is demarcated with a floating barrier to separate swimmers from recreational watercraft (canoes, rowboats, and small recreational boats). Parking is limited. The swimming area is not supervised.
