Tulip Events 2026

April 7 - May 3 The BloemBollenBoemel is a collaboration between Bloeiend Zijpe and Land van Fluwel and runs three times daily right through the tulip splendor. A guide speaks passionately about the ins and outs of the bulb trade and the largest contiguous bulb area in the world. The train runs at 11:00, 13:00, and 15:00.

April 18-22 Colorful mosaics, moving artworks, and beautifully decorated streets and bridges, together with the flower bulb fields, transform Anna Paulowna and the surrounding area into a true floral paradise.

In the former Zijpe polder lie vast fields of flower bulbs, which are in full bloom during the month of April. During Bloeiend Zijpe, numerous activities take place amidst the blooming bulb fields: Tulip Trail Run (April 18), Walking Day (April 19), and Cycling Day (April 26).

April 15 - May 4 Take the most exciting journey through time on the original steam tram connecting the historic triangle of Hoorn – Medemblik – Enkhuizen. The railway, dating back to 1887, runs straight through the blooming tulip fields. Along the way, discover the tastiest museum in the Netherlands, the beautiful traditional station buildings, or transfer to the museum ship to the Zuiderzee Museum in Enkhuizen.

April 25 & 26 Enjoy a colorful palette of diverse flowers and various activities: a bike tour on April 25 and the Walking Day on April 26: plenty to do in Julianadorp.

Enjoy spring bloomers in this garden in Anna Paulowna, such as hyacinths, daffodils, tulips, and special bulbs and tubers. They were planted by volunteers in the autumn. From mid-March to the end of April, the garden is in bloom and the Poldertuin is at its most beautiful. The opening is on March 28.

March 21 to May 10. View over 4,000 different varieties of flower bulbs, including tulips, daffodils, hyacinths, crocuses, and fritillarias. It is the only garden in the world where so many different types of spring bulbs bloom. Particularly noteworthy are the many historical varieties, with the oldest tulip species dating back to 1595.

From March 21st. Let yourself be surprised, enchanted, and push your boundaries for a day. Visit the Dutch Tulip Experience and discover the fairytale of the tulip with an audio tour. Conquer your inner warrior on the Barefoot Path, let loose in the Adventure Play Paradise, and enjoy a meal at restaurant De Kneinsberg. At Land van Fluwel, play the escape game 'The Tulip Mafia'.

April 18 & 19 Experience the blooming bulb fields of Julianadorp from the air during Kleurrijk Julianadorp. This bird's-eye view of the colorful fields is an unforgettable experience.

Starting April 18th, join us for a flight over the Wieringermeerpolder, where you can enjoy the tulip fields in various colors. Gliding depends on thermals and sometimes lasts 6-8 minutes, but sometimes up to fifteen minutes. Would you like to experience this too? Then fly with us from Slootdorp.

On 25 April, Beachbiking Nederland is organizing the 3rd edition of this unique gravel ride in collaboration with Kleurrijk Julianadorp. On your gravel bike or MTB, you will experience a true feast of color along the flower fields. There is room for 100 participants; the start time is between 10:00 and 11:00 AM.

April 11, 12, 18, 19 & 25: Experience West Friesland in a special way. During this tour, you board a WWII army truck and are taken past colorful tulip fields and World War II monuments. Along the way, you stop at a tulip field, where the story behind tulip cultivation is told.
