Anna Paulowna
Anna Paulowna was the beautiful Russian wife of King William II who gave her name to this polder. A few centuries later, the beauty of Anna Paulowna is still reflected here. The bulb region is at its most beautiful in the spring; the fields display all kinds of colors then. It is even the largest contiguous flower bulb area in the world! It is therefore not surprising that the bulb sector flourishes here and that many events are organized where flowers take center stage.

"Old Lock"
Oudesluis is a historic dike village. Originally, the village was situated at the foothills of the Zuiderzee and served as a mooring place for VOC ships. The 16th-century lock, after which the village is named, can still be visited. In the village stand three historic wind-powered watermills from 1764, 1848, and 1896, which formerly controlled the water level.

"Alkmaar"
Alkmaar has a historic center with 399 national monuments and 700 municipal monuments. The city is known as "the cheese city". A traditional cheese market is held weekly from early April to late September. An inhabitant of Alkmaar is called an Alkmaarder, but is colloquially referred to as a kaaskop. The city has two railway stations: Alkmaar Station and Alkmaar Noord Station.

Callantsoog
Callantsoog is one of the oldest and most popular seaside resorts in the Netherlands, located in the province of North Holland. The village features a wide white sandy beach with five beach access points and various beach pavilions. A unique feature is that the dune ridge here is narrow, meaning the beach borders directly on the village. Immediately to the south lies the protected nature reserve Het Zwanenwater, known for its dune lakes and diverse bird species. Popular activities include land sailing, surfing, and walking. For families, the Juttersmuseum Callantsoog and nearby parks such as Attractiepark De Goudvis are highly recommended.
